Dreaming

How nice. OH how nice would it be if im on a beach now while sipping coconut juice in my hand.....

Okay.

Maybe I need a change of environment

Lush green grass by the road

Snow-clad mountains in the far distant

Deep blue lake by in front of me

Light breezes blowing on my face

There's where I want to be

Only 1 place can offer me these

New Zealand

:D

Green World

I just read an article on Saturday's The Star newspaper about Green stuff, eco stuff. I never knew that Malaysia were already in baby steps to create a greener environment, even though there is rubbish everywhere you go.

It starts off at KLIA. Here is the link.

Nice concept of the jungle within a building thing. Well, I havent set foot in the KLIA satellite building YET! Gonna do it in November!

Korean BBQ

It was my first time trying out Korean BBQ.

I thought it would be horrible as I dont like kimchi at all.

Yes, the kimchi was horrible. Not according to my taste buds.

But on the other hand, the meat was wonderful!

Pork and the beef was fantastic!

Chun!!

However, I think its overpriced.

My Take #2 on Photography

I noticed there are a lot of photographers prefer to shoot portraits or macro compared to landscape photography. I began to wonder why and here is my theory.

In portrait and macro shooting, you can control the environment and the theme. For example, a studio shoot. You setup the way you want it, lighting, background and the model as well. Once you are able to control these things, you are good to go.

This site is dead. So

Another point, when shooting portrait, you get lots of chances to get it right. One photoshoot could take up to 200 shots but only choose 20 best pictures and maybe some are repeated shots as well. Even if it is a event, whereby some incidents are one opportunities, you could end up with great shots by shooting in multiple shutter. Plus, the event doesn't consist of just one incident, right?

How about landscape? The same?

Nope. Never. You can't control the environment, that's mother nature. You can't control lighting, that's the sun's job. You can't control the weather, God's work.

You gotta have luck in taking landscape photographs. Like when you wanna shoot the sun setting but a cloud decides to block it at that moment. Or it rains when you waiting for the sun to set. Tough luck.

On this occasion, was hoping to get there to experience the sunrise. However, rain and clouds greeted us on that morning. So, thats my luck but I have not given up on this yet. Second time it is! The result, rain, rain while hiking up halfway.

Therefore, when the chance arrived to you when the light is perfect, you only got a few minutes to get all your shots and if the chance is gone. The next might not surface again. Same goes to wildlife photography, if you miss a lion or a bird doing some interesting pose, you can't expect or ask them to do it again. They wouldn't understand what you are saying unless you are of them. :D

On this occasion, the 2 days in Perhentian Island, I was really lucky to have the sun, blue sky and a few lonely clouds for myself. Thus, the colour of the sea really stands out, it gives more saturation without having to add in myself. Without the sun or the clouds blocking, I wouldn't get to capture these colours. Hence, good colours for my pictures.

I've seen other photos of Redang Island. When there is no sun, the sea becomes green colour. So ya, the sun is important.

Landscape photography is harder compared to portrait in my opinion because in landscape, you take something ordinary and make it extraordinary. Whereas in portrait, if the subject and the environment is beautiful, it makes everything much easier.

Well, both portrait and landscape photography has its pros and cons. Just see which one you like it more.
